Housing

In Athens, we will all live in small hotels, situated close to HERC. Students will be accommodated in double or triple occupancy hotel rooms. The rooms are simply but adequately furnished with single beds. The hotels in question are ideally located on a quiet pedestrian street. Students will be served breakfast every morning at their hotels. In addition to breakfast, HERC will provide the students with special meal cards which students will use to order their lunch according to their preference at a nearby traditional restaurant which offers Greek food of excellent quality. E-mail facilities will be made available to the students. Click here for downloadable map to HERC Office and hotels.

In Paros you'll stay in the Aegean Village Hotel. The Aegean Village will provide rooms for groups of 2, 3, 4 or 5 people. Continental breakfast is included and local restaurants offer low-priced lunch and dinner options. It is a 10-minute walk to the Lecture Hall of the Parian Cultural Union located at the Paros and Cyclades Institute of Archaeology. The Director of the Institute, Prof. Demetrius Schilardi, is also Director of Excavations on Paros.

Distrato Cafe, in old town Paros, takes its name from the two streets ('dio strates') that pass from both its sides. The spot where Distrato Cafe is now has a long history and has always been a favorite hangout spot for the people of Parikia. Students in Paros will eat breakfast here.
