Advising and Information Days

We highly recommend that you attend one of the Spotlight on Summer: Advising and Information Day Sessions offered by Transitions.

To attend, just sign-up on your Transfer Student Summer Registration Form.

Dates are May 16 or May 30 at UCSB.

Starting at 8:30 a.m., we will introduce you to some of the most important information you need to make a summer start as an incoming transfer student. You will learn about services that help you excel in your courses and help prepare you for employment or graduate school. You will gain an understanding of how to work with academic advisors and when to meet with them. You will learn about the Billing system (BARC) and how to use the online enrollment system. And, you will have a chance to ask all your questions!

During lunch, you can attend an Information Fair and learn more about housing options, financial aid, education abroad, career services, academic support services plus more. We even provide lunch.

Then in the afternoon, you can meet with your advisor. If you are planning to major in Psychology, Communications, or Business/Economics, you will attend a special informational meeting. And, there will be special advising sessions for anyone admitted into the College of Engineering.

We will email more information to you at the end of April.

If you are unable to attend this event, be sure to contact the Transitions Program Office in Summer Sessions, 805-893-2069.
