DEPARTMENT: French and Italian
DESCRIPTION: Seeking reliable student to assist the staff in the main office.   Provides general clerical and administrative support.   Front desk reception, answers phones, distributes mail, delivers documents on campus, photocopies course materials, files confidential documents, proctors placement exams, types forms, performs Internet searches, database entry and word processing using Word and Excel, posts flyers and maintains current announcements on bulletin boards, orders and stocks supplies, organizes department seminar and class rooms, prepares and sorts course evaluation packets, orders desk copies, assists with event preparation, assists with moving furniture occasionally, and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Desirable computer tasks:   create flyers in InDesign or PageMaker, update web pages using Dreamweaver, and provide basic hardware support and troubleshooting. Position has potential for more responsibilities based on applicant abilities and interests.
QUALIFICATIONS: Positive interpersonal skills, organizational skills and initiative. Experience with MS Word and Excel.   The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with an interest in doing a job thoroughly and accurately.   Prior office work experience desirable.   Hard-working, punctual and dependable. Performs tasks accurately and in a timely manner; accuracy is expected over speed.   Confidentiality is required.   Knowledge of InDesign, PageMaker, Photoshop and Dreamweaver are desirable. $8/hr.
HOURS: 8-20 per week, possibly more in August. Job available all Sessions; job may continue into Fall, Winter and Spring

DEPARTMENT: Registrar's Office
POSITION: Clerical/Administrative Assistant
DESCRIPTION:
Provide support for the Systems Operations and Development Unit. Tasks include detailed inputting and auditing of incoming transfer work; filing and pulling student folders; data entry and other duties as assigned. $10/hr.
QUALIFICATIONS: Computer experience preferred (data entry, keyboard efficiency); ability to think logically with careful attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision; reliable attendance.
HOURS: 20-30 hours per week, Summer.
