The Odyssey Project:
The Odyssey Project is a longstanding program through UCSB's Theater and Dance Department aimed at connecting UCSB students and incarcerated youth. Led by Michael Morgan since 2011, The Odyssey Project helps provide incarcerated youth with applied theater techniques for rehabilitation thorugh a creative platform. The project incorporates creative writing, critical thinking, digital stories, spoken word video montage, and zine creation, all of which are meant to serve the incarcerated youth after the project by brining their voices to an audience of prison officials, parole boards, families, powerbrokers, and prison abolitionists.
