
Location: Santa Barbara's County Courthouse Sunken Garden
FREE round-trip transportation from the UCSB campus will be available to UCSB students with valid student ID. Airbuses will depart at 7 PM from 6575 Seville Rd. (near the IV Food Co-op) and at 7:15 PM from the University Plaza loop adjacent to Campbell and Cheadle halls. After the movie, the Airbus will pick up students at 10:45 PM from the Figueroa Street side of the courthouse to return to Isla Vista and Campus. Limited availability; first-come, first-served. Valid UCSB student ID required.
Film Description:
Oscar-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele (Get Out, Us) reimagines the summer movie with Nope, an expansive pop epic of uncanny science fiction. Following their father’s shocking death, Hollywood animal wrangler OJ (Daniel Kaluuya) and his sister Emerald (Keke Palmer) begin observing unexplained phenomena on their California ranch. Courthouse Sunken Garden, Friday nights from July 7 through August 25. (No screening Friday, August 4 due to Fiesta). Bring breathable blankets or a low chair, a picnic and your friends.
