Enrolling in FSSP is simple! All newly admitted UC Santa Barbara first-year students are invited to participate in FSSP.
Already submitted your application? Please allow 2–3 business days for our team to review your submission! Check your UCSB email regularly for all program-related communications, including updates about your enrollment!
Steps to Enroll:
Complete your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR). This must be submitted before you submit your FSSP enrollment application.
Complete your Statement of Legal Residence (SLR).
Activate your UCSBnetID and UCSB email account. To do so, sign in to the UCSB Identity Manager. Learn more about accessing your UCSB email account. All program related communications will be sent to your UCSB email.
Complete two FAFSA forms! To be considered for financial aid for FSSP, you must complete a FAFSA for 2025 – 2026 by June 30, 2026. Please note that this is in addition to the 2026 – 2027 FAFSA, which provides aid beginning in Fall 2026.
Fill out and submit the enrollment application. Please note that you will need to sign up for an account to complete a summer enrollment application (we recommend using your UCSB email to set up this account). Enrollment for the 2026 program opens April 13, 2026.
Once your enrollment application has been approved, review the FSSP Course Offerings and Advising Resources, then submit your Course Preference Form.

Cancellation Policy
If your summer plans have changed and you are no longer able to participate in FSSP, please review the information below regarding our cancellation policy and procedures.
- Students who wish to cancel their admission to FSSP must email fssp@summer.ucsb.edu to initiate their withdrawal. Be sure to include your full name and perm number.
- Our Student Services team will provide you with the cancellation/withdrawal form.
- Students can refer to Summer Session Deadlines to review the deadlines to receive a refund.
